As the voluntary team at Cannabis Health Products Coalition (CHPC) starts to ramp up we wanted to provide an update on some key actions taken over the last few months to advance the CHP issue and hold the Government to account.

• Oct 2023: CHPC in-person event in Ottawa / Website soft launch

• Oct 2023: Communicated with senior Health Canada (HC) executives

• Oct 2023: Met with HC Natural Health Products Directorate (NHPD) staff

• Oct 2023: Met with Morris Rosenberg and HC staff relating to CBD/CHPs and the review of the Cannabis Act

• Nov/Dec 2023: Wrote letters of concern to HC leadership and Minister of Health

• January 2024: Have requested and obtained meetings with MPs and arranged for early February.

• February 2024: Have requested in writing another meeting with HC senior staff for regulatory roadmap update

In the next few weeks, you will hear and see more campaign activity from the CHPC including more stakeholder outreach, speaking engagements, media and issue awareness for CHPs and CBD….stay tuned!
